Recruiting Success: A Case Study of Recruiting a Commercial Team

Recruiting the right team is crucial for the success of any business. Introduction:

Isoplexis is a fast-growing life science tools company. Researchers use their platform to predict single-cell response enabling quality assessments of T-cell immunotherapies and improved evaluation of clinical response and mechanism of action in patient samples.

Connexis Search Group was selected as an external resource to assist IsoPlexis in recruiting sales reps and Field Application Specialists. IsoPlexis had just completed a financing round and was ready to expand its commercial team rapidly.

The Challenge:

 Isoplexis urgently needed to expand its commercial team in order to drive growth in its key market. The company had recently launched a new product to the market and needed to hire a team of experienced sales professionals to promote it. They needed to hire many Sales Reps, Field Application Scientists, and inside sales reps in a 60-day time frame. The challenge was finding candidates with the correct skill set and experience so that Isoplexis could hit the ground running.

The Solution:

We began by working closely with the company, to understand its requirements and culture clearly. Utilizing our extensive network and resources, our recruiters were able to identify potential candidates that fit the bill. Our thorough screening process involved multiple interviews with each candidate to evaluate their experience, skills, and cultural fit. Our recruiters interviewed the candidates multiple times before being presented to the company. Thus, we presented only the most qualified candidates to the company for consideration. The hiring manager spent most of his time identifying results-oriented candidates from the candidates presented. 

 

Results:

Iosplexis successfully recruited a team of experienced sales professionals who hit the ground running and exceeded the company's expectations. The team quickly established relationships with key stakeholders and drove sales of the new product.
